It's just the last time I tried a regular twisted build, which was my favourite for a long time, the flavour was so meh :/ honestly, nichrome tri alien micro coils have ruined me, hehe. But speaking about the derringer, I got this one just days before it was discontinued... SKU 4567400 Honestly, I haven't used it yet though. Actually, I plain forgot I had it until just now lol. Because of the velocity style deck, it's not conducive to alien coils, and also I'm lazy to keep changing drippers. My wasp is practically glued to my minikin and my tm2 to my kbox 160. But just waiting for my puma to arrive, then I'll add one more rda into my rotation. But now that you got me thinking about regular wire again, maybe I'll build my derringer later tonight. Do you think it will be cool if I do say, 9 wraps instead? Something I still haven't wrapped my mind around yet.. Adding more wraps will increase resistance, meaning I can vape at a lower wattage, but adding more wraps also adds to wire mass, so I'm not too sure how the tradeoff works. Like, let's say I added another 7 wraps, bringing the total to 14 wraps. That should essentially double the resistance, so I should be able to vape it at half the wattage, in this case, half of 40w, so 20w. But because of the additional wire mass, I know that won't be the case... Perhaps you can enlighten me about this, I'd really appreciate it. Edited on 2/3/2018 at 5:47 PM. Reason: typos Working...

With these builds they are all good, I have them all three on different mech squonker boxes, if you prefer the Hadaly or the Entheon then definitely take one with a pei or pc topcap , with a ss topcap these will be too hot for a pleasant vape. The top cap of the haku does not need to be changed . Working...

I have the Hadaly but unfortunately, it is the SS version and it does get quite hot :/ I'm honestly so undecided between the flave, entheon and haku, I really have no idea which one to go for. But I'm leaning towards the haku right now... after you said the top cap doesn't get hot, that's a big plus for me. Just wish it was 24mm, it would have been a hands down winner. Please choose one bud. If you could only keep one of those rdas, which would it be? Working...

But I think it’s the style of atty that makes the biggest difference. The Derringer is just very suited to flavour chasing. It’s pretty much the epitome of what makes a good flavour atty. Ie low height, drip tip close to the coils, airflow right on the coils. It almost doesn’t matter what coil set up or wattage you use, you’re gonna get a good result. The only coils that don’t really work are big and really low ohms as it just gets too hot. Rage on you crazy diamond. Working...

Lots of words but totally in line with my own experiences. I would add however that a domed chamber makes it that much easier to achieve a satisfying vape with a clapton coil positioned high. In all honesty and not only because of the domed chamber, get SKU 6070300 instead of the Haku. It's just that much better. The airflow is smooth, there is no whistle and I also find the flavour to be better and more condensed. Also, it handles the heat better. You won't get a hot top cap with this one while you can get one with the Haku, even if it's more roomy inside. Building is just a bit less conveniant than on the Haku (just clip a bit of your wire and stick it under the clamp on the opposite side of your leads, so that the clamp can go down evenly), but still just a matter of a few minutes.
