yah, i found out that shipping from focal is a good two weeks longer than FT. i ordered mine on 09/21 and just got it on Monday. my last order from FT i ordered on 10/3 and i should be getting the order today. you might want to get the one from here on FT. there's people that got the version here that are very happy with their versions. but the one on focal comes with beauty ring.

Not positive that the one with the beauty ring is exactly the same - quick peek at weight, etc appears different.
Would have to go back and look closer.
Different packing list of items for both as well.

Thanks.
I will take a peek at the one here then.
I somehow missed this one on prior browses for squonking..
(*~*) Was bored to death.. RIP :)

the one on focal is ShenRay. i heard they don't sell shenray clones here. there must be some bad blood between shenray and FT. the ring definitely makes it look a lot more streamline.

The Serpent Mini has acquired a well deserved reputation as a great flavour tank, and so the 25mm version has a hard act to follow.

I have the 22 and right now I am toying with the 25, but like you I have my reservations.

With any given build, the extra chamber space appears to sap flavour, although the rather fun workaround is just to up your build and chuck some dirty great 3.5 or 4mm coils in there and fill up the space. That approach seemed to work well for me in the (huge) Cthulhu V3 anyway.

Thank you very much. I will just try that then :)

I hope it works out well. If you get good results I might buy a 25mm version myself. :)

Awesome :) A thread worth reading for a change lol.

Lots of valid, interesting points made. I've always thought a smaller chamber produced better flavor until I got hold of the Supreme. I found by taking the setup to more power / bigger builds will in fact produce a very satisfying flavor. Not necessarily better or worse though, but for some reason I think the 22mm wins out slightly. Maybe I'm just better at building the smaller ones :)

I agree that the bigger atty's are less power efficient, and I'm all about getting the best bang for buck. More so when I'm away from my main supplies, and have to pack what I need. I tend to lean more toward the smaller setups for that reason. I plan to hang on to my bigger stuff still. It has a place too :)
unrealistic expectations lend to disappointment

That's well worth mentioning actually. I think SteamCrave really re-wrote the rulebook on atties with the Aromamizer series.

I've no idea what it is that actually saps the flavour on big tanks. I recently got a 30mm Mason Dump Tank and whilst it's a leaky piece of crap, the flavour on that thing KILLS the Serpent Mini. I still use the Serpent as it's a leak-free, easy, flavourful gift from the gods but the Dump Tank proves you can get mad-flavour from giant tanks (Seriously, it's huge).

I just wish they'd produce a 25mm or 30mm Serpent Mini with the exact same build deck as the 22mm. All the flavour and energy-efficiency of the original but with a 8-10ml liquid capacity. My 22mm gets through 2ml of liquid in roughly an hour and it's the only reason I 'upgraded' to a 30mm RTA.
