My first attempt trying out SS TC. Update:
Using 24awg, SS316L 3mm coidl with 8 wraps at abt 0.4 ohms, I tried steam engine/DNA200 chart for 316L/316 0.00088/0.00092 for 420F but doesn't work well as it reaches 420F within few secs and cuts off too early.
I'm using my other Ni200 as reference whereby now the objective to vape and ramp up temp to set temperature for at least 7 secs without cut off (temp protect) while giving good flavour without burnt taste.
Next, used default value of 0.00102 for Steel. It works better now with great taste but still cuts off too early within 4 secs. Finally settled at 0.00110, reaches near 420F and doesn't cut off. It seems to be the sweet spot to give an incredibly smooth cleaner taste than Ni200, unbelievable.
Alternatively, you can play around by setting lower temp with higher TCR values, especially for smaller mini tanks, which tends to get hot fast. For e.g. if you prefer cooler vape at 350F, the rough TCR value is 0.00140.
In other wards, temp and TCR settings are inversely proportional.
The TCR seems to be rather accurate (as you can get now) as it shows the changing temp with variable voltage compared to other mod's iterations (am comparing to my IPV3 Li/Dovpo Ex 5.0) where they locked the temp, without showing you the temperature increase. In this regard, the TC is thus far superior when set correctly as it allows fine tuning to give you what you desire.
Overall, its an excellent mod and I'm satisfied so far.
