Is this painted?
I just got a blacked out pico 75 and I love it but I know the paint will wear over time. I want to get a couple more but I'd love it more if it was just brushed steel rather then grey paint. Also a copper version would be really cool.. Thanks in advance for any answers.

No it is a brushed finish. Mine has held up well.

Its Zinc alloy ... not painted, and looks fantastic when new, but eventually the coating wears down and its a mess, even polishing it dosn't make it better, so yeah, perfect for a few months, then it just looks worn and dodgy

I should add, had it over a year now, use it all day long, and apart from the finish, the device is still going strong :D

I suggest You to get 3d-carbon-fiber-vinyl-wrap-film SKU 7792009
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10035685/7792009-3d-carbon-fiber-vinyl-wrap-film-car-vehicle
I have it on my Pico and TC100 since about 1/2 year. Good quality and still looks like a brand new or better.
- On the back side (paper), you draw it and cut it out ... In the middle you cut the paper slightly out of the way and then slowly pull out from the center with your finger. Do it with heat gun

I don't understand the desire to keep a mod looking pristine. I love the battle scars my mods have picked up along the way.

But yeah, like Pan said, the finish on this will wear over time - it's like the brushing wears off. Whether that bothers you is personal I guess.

It is strong finish. I got these the same reason, not to have paint on them that can wear off.

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I am happy just knowing it's not paint. I don't mind battle scars and i have no love for vinyl wraps so this bad boy is going in the cart :)
