Some of you need to try the ribbon wire and tell me if you think it sucks,


Ribbon wire does not suck. I've used it in the passed, it's a little more technical to work with but worth the effort. I have some 316L 0.3X0.1mm in route, pretty small so it could pose a challenge.

I wanted to try ribbon wire but when I needed it was not in stock. I have so much 316L and don't really want to start using something new and have to shelve the 316L. Got lots on Nickel, TI and Kanthal which is just sitting there now.

Don't go under 26AWG for the Serpent mini as its hard to trap thinner wires sometimes. Twisted like the coils included and Claptons are easy to build with this atty.

Thanks for the tip Aschzzz. Maybe i will just buy some 26g and just play with normal coils for a while.

Do the pre-coiled stuff here work? From reading it appears they are wrapped "the wrong way" but i see people saying it both works and doesn't.

I'm not sure about that. It should just be a case of straightening one of the legs out so they sit on this style of deck.

There should be a few videos on how to coil this on the tube.

Obviously it's the best there is. Love it.
0.8x0.2mm is really easy to work with.

I almost never use round wire after buying it.

It would be nice to have a resistance to measurement with all the wires listed here! What type of build to resistance are you getting with the 0.8 x 0.2 mm 316L SS Sushi6?

I've got a 4wrap Clapton in mine now and the flavour is excellent @2.8mm diameter
M2mm x 3mm or 4mm - M2.5mmm x 3 or 4mm - M3mm x 3 or 4mm screws /grubs etc for new vapers will be invaluable

on serpent mini? 4 turns fits.
2.5mm (steam engine) is 15W, about 0.20-0.23ohms

For every 0.5mm you add to the diameter, you gain 2W. Doubt the airflow with be good with a 3.5mm diameter coil.
