turn down your wattage until spitback stops then crank it up in .1 wattage increments while testing for your desired vapor warmth .

I generally get spitting and popping. I did find that using less wick helped. If it is too tight inside the coil or too long the popping and spitting is bad enough to eject the droplets. Much lower power also helps, but not as much as using a thinner and shorter wick.
