If the blacks are like the white ones, the data lines pass strait through, they will not interfere with qualcomm 2.0 voltage negociations scheme.

Be careful not to use it with qualcomm v3.0 tho.

THE BLACK ONE IS DIFFERENT THEN THE WHITE ONE.

If you are going to test the white one you are wasting your time...

I used the white one and can't go past 7V.
I don't interfere with the quickcharge signal but the screen will show 7V and will blink.
I never let it blink too long but it sure it was too much voltage.

Since, I bought another model of AE (so I can't make a direct link) but it's on 4 digit, (so 0.001 resolution), little more expensive but it support up to 13V even if I doubt there is a 12V quickcharge device yet.

So the black does display 12V when connected to a QC 2.0 phone?
If the battery is low on juice the AC adapter should output 12V and the black one should read it.

I repeat, BLACK version, WHITE is only for 5V devices.

Yes, should show 12.xV on the black one.
I don't see any reasons for them to change the way they implimented the data lines in the white version in the 15V version.

Tbh, the white "goes to 7v max" but I'm pretty sure I've seen 9.00v on the screen when I was testing it a few days back.

Again, Il put up a video with it on a smart charger, ect, when I get back tomorow.

Thanks, found the pic on Google.
So this thread can be safely marked as 'solved'.

But pics are welcome for the white version when working with higher than 7V scenarios (I have that but afraid to use it with my Nexus 6).
