Yes, less is more with this one. Only wick to the bottom of the wick ring, and not too tight in the coil.

You not need this metal O ring,its only decoration ;).Here is my wick:

I m use 85 VG+ 10 PG + 5 Water,6 wraps 26 AWG,and honestly,without this metal O ring is vape more smooth and better,also is flavour now more fantastic.And nice greetings from Slovenia :D.

I have retire the ring and let the wick almost down and it vape good without dry hit

Are you sure is this correct to avoid leaking?Show some pics ;).I also have chain vape,without any dryhits :P.

I've noticed that if i eliminate that ring, the cotton (which i take down to the base of the juice channels) will get caught in the JFC and ruin my build. In my opinion, that ring has it's role and using it does NOT induce dry hits.

finaly i have put clapton coils from FT on my Griffin, and i use the standart way of wicking. no issue of dry hit anymore ^^

i'm trying to decide between the Griffin and the Diablo RTA. i'm leaning toward the Diablo tho because the Griffin is a bit too tall for my liking.

Pretty big price difference. Diablo is a great value. I don't think they are quite in the same weight class though...
