I chain vape so they would be at 20amp continuous discharge most of their miserably abused life =D

Continuous fucks up batteries way more than even hardcore chain vaping! Ah well, don't enjoy the added capacity, pussy :P

The manufacturer does not indicate what the safe pulse discharge ratings are. When pulsing at higher than max. continuous discharge the cells will degrade more quickly. If constantly pulsing at 30A for 1 second, the cell is likely to only last a maximum of 100 cycles rather than its full 250 because of the added stress.

These batteries should only ever be safely discharged at a maximum of 15A, as the manufacturer does not indicate what the safe pulse discharge ratings are. Added stress from exceeding ratings can cause the cell to fail.

3.7 Max. continuous discharge
(Continuous) 15A(at 25°C), 60% at 250 cycle

Basically what the manufacture has to say what folks do with that is up to those folks ;)

They say they lose about 500 mah over 500 cycles @ 30a

^^^Vtc4's =P

The 30q will die a quick death! My he2 are fooked after a fair amount of abuse, but then the spec's say that they will die quickly, around 300 cycles

The 25r5 dont perform as well as the 25r2 on discharge test but they have a greater cycle life

Same with he2 vs he4

I have 8 of these coming on the slowboat, I'll let you know in a couple of months ;)

I bought a pair of the vtc5's over a year ago, and can say they run noticeably hotter than the 25r under heavy load. One has died in that time, and I bought another pair around 6 months back, which have had a much less stressful life than their predecessors, as their owner evolved from ubernoob to semi-competent vaper.

vtc5 is not worth the price over 25r in my opinion.
