This thing is a flavor beast. The only gripe I have is that oil tends to run off of the side of the disc. I solved it somewhat by running a thin silica wick around the rim to catch the runoff. Might work better with some ready x wick, though not sure if you can coil it that tight. If we could get coils like this but with a 1-2mm raised lip around the edge, effectively making it a cup, this would be absolutely perfect in every way.

You can make a regular spaced coil with ready x wick and nr-r-nr wires, then bend that coil into a circle shape and install it in the atty. At least that's how I'd do it.

Yeah, I've seen and tried your setup before and it works well. I'll definitely be doing that once i get a few spares and a coil pops. These discs though.. they are damn near perfect if not for the runoff. If they would just make the freaking thing like a nail and be done with it, this would be the best portable setup out there.

All they'd need to do is add a small lip on the outer ring of the donut that faces upward (away from the wires). It'd look a lot like a miniature ceramic domeless nail. IMO then they'd be rather perfect.

after the oil runs off the disc, it still vaporizes below. i think the actual metal coil is below so it vapes it like a broiler. i don't know for sure tho.

i still need to try one of those coils johnny. my coils have been lasting so long tho with my variable wattage mods. i've been using the same 2 coils for probably 6 months lol. and i have 5 brand new backups.

I've been super lazy lately. Been doing pretty standard, barely spaced 2mm coils with 1.6oHm kanthal a-1 nr-r-nr wires and ready x wick. The coils last ages and you just have to replace the wick now and then. Great for conservative, single hits, imo.

I found it worked fine once it was broken in. Just prime it for the first few and don't haul on it. These work flawless my with ego one ct batteries by the way in ti mode.

Bought them (ego one ct) for this specifically and it worked out better than any other regulated mod I have due to the non spring loaded pin allowing for a solid contact.
