So these are better than Samsung 25R's despite the fact they cost twice as much? Can you elaborate why please?

How does the fact they are protected affect their usage please? Can they be used in mechanical mods?

I think the fact that that they have a protection circuit and a button top makes them longer than unprotected 18650 flat tops.
Vaper buys pod system, asks for a 510 adapter. LOL for days

These aren't vape batteries guys. These are for powerful flashlights.

The Panasonic NCR18650PF are for vaping.
I'm not conceited, but god knows I have reason to be!

It depends what you're using them for. I'm talking about the unprotected Sanyo NCR18650GA, which is what is under the wrapper here. For me they're perfect, because I never need more than 10-15A, and mostly use TC these days, which pretty much negates our standard model of what battery is safe. As a result, I like having 3500mAh capacity, coupled with a battery that seems much less saggy than previous NCRs. I'm vaping perfectly safely, and one battery can last me an entire day.

However, if you are a clowdy skumbag who only vapes single wrap quad parallel Clapton flat bastard chupacabra coils made from eight strands of 8g fencing wire at twelvety bagillion wartz - they're not so good. For that you want a true high drain cell like the VTCs, He2/4, and 25Rs.

And they're not double the price - the GAs are about $7, and the 25Rs are around $5.

Leave the HE2s out of that Nym.

They're not being produced anymore and the shelf stock is getting old.

As for the protection circuit, it's just another added complication. By the looks of it, these things are a lot bigger than the standard battery (seriously, what are they using in there, a 1990's Palm Pilot?), and isn't really needed if you're careful about your cells - which all vapers should be. Some regulated devices don't get along with protected cells, others won't even accept ones this long by the looks of it.I can think of a few mechs I have that wouldn't accept a battery thus big either.

If you want to learn more about batteries, look in the battery folder of the drop box linked in my signature.

Even the B cells are fine for vaping if you're using them within their capacity.

These are fine, just don't go below 0.5.
