510 spring connection fail
Mine was working fine for two weeks and now I'm having problem with 510 connector. Looks like it is stuck, it moves a very short distance.
I'm using mostly subtank mini and recently I started getting "Atomizer short" message. Today I tried KF4 and it's not making contact at all. It was working when it was new.
Measured depth and it's 4.5 mm, on my other devices it's 3.1 - 3.5 mm in normal position (not pushed back).
After a short search I found reddit topic "Yeah, so my eVic VT IS done", so it seems I've got a bad one.

You are not the only one with that problem. i am going to send in a ticket with the same. the only tank i can use on mine is the subtank+ because it is a little bit longer in the 510. cant use subtank mini, delta2 and zephyrus. mine is 4.8mm deep

I got 2 Evic vt's from FT and 1 is broken down already in 2 months time. Keeps saying no atomizer found, had to make a video for FT and now i must ship it back to get a new one.

Joyetech is a joke, their hardware is just below avarage. Not really made for durable and constant user experience imo, the temp control was fine in Ni mode but Ti was jumpy and sweetspot was never a solid number i could set it on. In the begin it was working fine but i had no reference Tc device to compare, now i know their Tc chip is just a half baked and to make it complete it died on me. Battery life was never 5000mah either on mine.

No more Joyetech for me.

Not glad to hear that, I was expecting quality device from joyetech. Also, battery life is not so great, iStick 50w lasts longer with kanthal, I haven't tried TC. Shipping it back to china is a pain.

My batteri is still great after 2month. and there is no ohm jumping or anything. only problem is the 510. I know that i can use a big insulater on the center pin on the tank, but then the tank cant be used on another mod

Had the same thing happen yesterday on the vtc mini. Very frustrating bc I waited a very long time to get it. I absolutely love the device for the day it worked though ! :-)

Easy enough to remove the screws and lift off the top of the mod?
(don't have one)
From inside unscrew the bottom of the 510?

Remove the positive center pin?

See if the spring is broken?

Hope that helps? :D

I don't want to open mine because of the warranty, but I think positive pin touches board directly and is not easy accesible. Probably it's press-fitted, not so easy to disassemble like varitube or something similar.

There is a you tube video on a open one. Fairly straight forward. He mention the pin is very well made. Its probably jammed on the back. Or slipped off the spring.
My yellow VT is still kicking aft 3 months. Just like new.

Good luck.
