For something similar in stainless steel 316L (SKU 3237600), 7 wraps on a 3mm coil, it works out to ~0.8 Ohms. There is less vapor with the Kanthal, but it's a perfectly good MTL vape and the bonus is a bit better battery life if you vape in this ohmic range. Working...

With the DVARW MTL and clear juices (Menthol/Citrus flavouring) I can easily do 120ml without having to rewick it. I prefer to use 27 AWG Kanthal because I can build a larger coil (8 wraps around 2.5mm - 1.2 Ohm) and it still gives me good flavour and throat hit at 9 Watt (3.3V). (3mm is too wide for this AFC diameter - because of the cooling air direction) It's about 1~1.2 Ohms with Kanthal 'A' which contains 9,8% AL (A1=19,8%) = No oxidation out the wire in wet temperature (180-220C). I never burn out the spaced coil. 6 wraps is the optimal because of the lenght of the coil to cool down the two end of the coil. Edited on 5/9/2019 at 9:07 AM. Reason: Working...
