Glass Orings - heads up
This HOTCIG clone is apparently not exactly the same in dimensions as the original. I ordered some 19mm and 20mm orings for spares for the top and bottom of the glass and received them today just to find out they are too small for this RTA.

The original Taifun user manual Taifun GT II user manual shows that the sizes orings for the glass are 19mm (top) and 20mm (bottom). However, for this clone, it's actually 21mm (top) and 22mm (bottom).

It's not a big deal since orings are cheap and always good to have. I just want to give a heads up to others looking to buy replacement orings for this RTA. Would be best to measure the original ones that came with it if you can before ordering as the user manual may not show the correct sizes for this clone.

While I can easily stretch a 20mm to use on the top of the glass, I'm not sure if it will create a good enough seal (have not tried it with a full tank yet). But you'll definitely need a 22mm for the bottom glass oring.

Sorry if this was already mentioned in one of the 50 other threads. Not about to read all of them. lol

The original o-ring dimensions are spot on. Remember that the diameter is measured from the inside, so a 19x1mm o-ring will have a diameter measured from outside to outside of 21mm (19+1+1) and 20x1mm = 22mm (20+1+1).

Fasttech probably sent him the wrong size O-rings! LOL

Actually, I didn't know that they are measured from inside til I read your post. Good to know.

Where I come from, o-rings in the store are mainly marketed with primarily the OD dimension and the thickness. The ID, if not given,is determined through arithmetic.

Dammit, now I'm really confused!

Edit: Could you give the skus for the ones you ordered that didn't fit? I think I may have ordered the same ones :(
