I have no idea what exactly is causing that to happen, but I just wanted to throw this out there. All all I had to do is loosen it up ever so slightly to make the short go away. Nymzavril Member JoinedApr 2014 Posts 23802 Reviews 280 Kudos18276	Another possibility that SHOULDN'T happen with the Hotcig, is for the insulator in the 510 to fail. My Hotcig has a beefy solid plastic insulator, but cheaper versions often have o-rings that can slip over the head. If yours has an o-ring, remove the 510, slip an M2 nylon washer over the screw, and snug it down so it holds the o-ring in place. It helps insulate when used with hybrid mods as well. vapeluvr Member JoinedJan 2015 Posts 7407 Reviews 310 Kudos4356	Never had a problem with the 510 pin causing shorting, however I did have a problem with it causing ohms jumping on my IPV mini v1. Then it stopped. My IPV mini is fuqd up, though, so I can't blame it on the RTA necessarily. As far as my shorting problem in my OP, I never did have this problem again after I stopped screwing my deck in all the way. And as Nym says, you have to put this things back together exactly the way it should be. It's easy to not remember how a certain part was installed. This tank has a lot of small parts! I love the tank regardless of it's shortcomings. In fact, I have another on the way, including a Hotcig GS II which was more of a shinyitis purchase than anything. Edited on 9/12/2015 at 6:13 PM.
