TC went crazy out of nowhere.
So I've been using this tank with a DNA 200 and yihi 350 j chip as well as a istick tc

Out of nowhere today when doing my first stainless steel build, the tank freaked out. Subsequently I went about rebuilding it five times with three temp control materials. It's all over the place. The mods are all working fine with other tanks.

I thought perhaps the bottom screw that holds the small screw in piece and the positive post got screwed up but I can't find anything actually wrong wi this. I blew the ring on the bottom part that the chimney slides on to and replaced it. But I can't see anything out of order.

Anyone have an idea what may be causing this tank to freak out right now? I've got my builds down pat with no issue in a ton of other tanks and this one is a very easy build.

No, we can't.

Telling us the RTA is "freaking out" tells us nothing about what's actually going on :-\

Only living, thinking beings can "freak out".

the one I had never quite worked. I'd build for 1.2 ohms only to see ohms jump to 2 or 5 or 8.
I bought a new deck base SKU 2234303 to get it working.
For mine- I believe the longer deck/base screw was crap and ruined the connection.

+1 details
That's exactly what I think is happening. It's the part these connects the two and is responsible for carrying resistance properly. The failure to carry temp signal reliably boils down to a bad connection somewhere. I'm surprised it would work for a week and then start bouncing around. I cleaned everything and reseated it but no dice.

So the new base cured the issue?

Freaking out is a colloquialism Johnny. Language evolves.

Thanks for the help.
