Sure, you can wash stainless steel without worrying. I never leave metal in water longer than couple of minutes, this time I just forgot it. One thing I was suprised the most, how fast it started to rust at places were magnets interact with the steel. Lesson learned. By the way it is good everybody to realize now what to expect by doing stupid things.

I sometimes soak my SS pots and pans over night... Never rusted...

Neodymium magnets are plated to stop them rusting really quickly - even in air. Could be magnet failure, not even anything to do with the SS

Could be that the magnets are so strong that they were pulling the iron that was suspended in the water to them. I don't think that I will do an experiment with mine in distilled and tap water to test that, though.
KF4 Leaking? For a more secure seal, replace the o-ring #16 with one that is 1.5mm cross section. SKU 1536606 or SKU 1536607

People should know by now.
Poor grade ss. Nickel plated screws. Metal is contact with dissimilar metal. Add water for more than a few minutes and there's a good chance it will rust.

Where water can gather and not fully dry. Don't use water.

Bullshit. Got more SS gear to count and never had anything rusting. Most took a 30min bath first thing and I clean everything with water.
