Which one?
Ok, so from a performance point of view, which one should I go for? The SS or the Brass? Which one should have the best conductivity and least amount of voltage drop? Hypothetically speaking of course, based only on our knowledge of the construction materials that is. Thanks in advance!

They make it in copper now.

i got the same prob: I vape at 0.3Ohms and below, so VD is a huge issue for me.
Waiting will pay off on this mod. After CNY we will see more different clone versions of the calvert, nearly all cloners now make their own clone of this.
IMO right now the first version (SS 18650 copper contact) looks better then the newer ones performance wise. But again, better wait 2-3 weeks, till new versions and more reviews arrive.
Time will tell. If it can perform like my brass SMPL, i am good..
..No, I am not like Gwalio! ;)

Alternatively, rather than buying a bunch of mechs and worrying about all that nonsense, just save up a bit and buy a good high wattage regulated device.

Yup. If you think about the wasted potential that goes into these "hard hitters", it's ridiculous. Setting a TC mod, with a .1 ohm coil at 40 watts, you can vape on and on and on and barely use any charge at all.

That being said, if they could get the SMPL tube on a Praxis, that would hit pretty hard. The Praxis switch literally wedges itself against the tube when in use. It just has a flaky top cap. I haven't tried any replacement top caps yet. I'm sure there must be one that fits.

You forget some mechs have way more style than regulated ones. And nobody here with thousands of posts and 5 shipments in transit can tell me that wouldnt matter ;-)
Handling and haptic and usability also matter

btw by "hard hitting" mod I have to smile about as well meanwhile, I mean what a mech mod just has to do is close a circuit: normal function. Everything else isnt not as hard as others, its just shit cause of bad contacts...I think
