There are at least 3 versions of the RBA Plus:

- The original RBA Plus that came with the STM for well over a year
- The current RBA Plus with smaller holes at the sides
- The toptank RBA with even smaller holes

Currently all STM's are delivered with the second Plus version (smaller holes)

The one without holes is not a Plus version, but an older one.

It's getting annoying that I can't use all juice in the tank because of the high located holes in the newer RBA's.
Was the old one with the holes at the bottom good?
I'm thinking to order the old one, does it worth it?

One of them has two tiny notches at the bottom where juice can get out (barely) but the top has the hole like the others. One has a microscopic screw holding the chimney base on it , larger holes are in the middle .

Both seem to work fine actually , those are the only ones i am aware of but Ernye says there's another. They are cheap , definitely worth trying.

The first RBA had tiny notches at the bottom, as @aerospace mentioned, people were dremeling them to be able to use high vg juice.

The original RBA Plus is my fav version: large holes at the sides, slightly towards the bottom.

Then came the RBA Plus V2, with tinier holes, causing dryhits with hi-vg / hi-wattage (i might have to adjust the wicking to prevent that, didn't try that yet).

Now there's also the RBA for the toptank with even smaller and higher positioned holes.

I made a pic of the 3 versions for the STM, left to right: RBA, RBA Plus, RBA Plus V2 (comes with all new STM's):

Here's the RBA plus next to the toptank RBA, notice the even smaller (and higher positioned) holes:

I just ordered a few of these: SKU 2551300 only for the caps with larger holes, the rest seems to be rubbish.

Excellent thanks , so the only one that has the screw in the side is the newest V2 then it seems.

No, the first RBA had a cap that screwed onto the base, all other versions have a tiny screw in the side.

Oh OK , looks like i have all three versions then , just got a light blue STM to go along with the black and stainless versions. All three work fine .

I have had a small clear colored O ring that seems to be an extra on two of the RBA's . The RBA's already have the O rings in place(2) so no biggie . Just wondering if anyone else got a spare .

Thanks for the help

mu resume - still prefer v2 which has large holes close to bottom. i dont understand why kanger pushes RBA which are almost same as for toptank.
btw did anyone try subtank rba with toptank?
