These are great little controllers. Looks like they changed a few things. Need to switch pin 2 to ground for external switching now, rather than pin 3.

(Thank Google Trad) lol

The 5 click functionality is the same as the fire button, there's probably a way around it to separate them, but even at 90 watts, switching from off through the options to off again doesn't damage my wick.

so pins 3 or pin 2 ?

Actually, the Atty resistance and short protection is not used if wired like this (- lead to battery -), I think. It's only triggering the gate, no?Edit: where S1 is the module.

I plan to order one of these in a week or so. Thank you for your helpful diagrams; I've got two mods working well, now, still have not built one with a trimmer. I have a k-box module waiting for a project, yet I like the irlbmosfetpbf series circuit.

Hard to see the 3 leds in the photo; must work like a simple switch; cannot wait to try it out. :)

Could this handle 4.5v, as in three series akalines?

@hexxed , I made mod with this module and N channel mosfet IRLB3034, but with all modes (red ,purple, blue) I got max voltage ...

what I am doing wrong? or this mosfet is not suitable for such application ?

it is acting as mechanical mod

Using this as a PWM controller should give max voltage every time, but with control over the duty cycles rather than the voltage output of the battery. Think of your coil as a strobe light. Instead of being on 100% of the time while the button is pressed, in RED mode it should be blinking at ~60% of max speed, PURPLE should be ~80%, and blue would be full speed. The chip is simply taking place of a potentiometer in the PWM circuit. (at least, I think that's how this works)

Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night.
