Potential fix for the battery level meter
Thought we should have a thread so that people with this issue who come looking can get straight to a possible fix. This worked for my black cloupor mini. As always, YMMV. It may not work for all of them. My battery level meter would only change when i removed the battery. Credit goes to the OP for the original fix.

I did this for my level indicator (wasn't working) mini silver received last week

1/ remove the battery
2/ plug in the usb for charge from my computer
3/ wait until the mini indicate "check battery" and leave it like that
4/ put back a battery at 3.5V ( in my case)
5/ remove the usb plug when the charge indicator in going up & down after 15 seconds

May be i'm a Lucky man but it work perfectly now for the past 48 hours , give it a try , it's free !

I suspect Michel used a charge only cable, it's possible that this won't work using a regular micro usb data and charge cable from a PC.
I'll add my version:

(use the same partially discharged battery throughout this)

1/ Remove the battery
2/ Plug in micro usb phone charger type charger
3/ wait until the mini indicates "check battery"
4/ insert battery (mine was at 3.8v)
5/ Count 15-20 seconds from the meter starting to cycle up, at this point mine said "check battery" again
6/ remove micro usb
7/ remove and replace battery
8/ vape to test function

Anyway, the info is now here, easy to find for people to test

worked for me :) My level gauge works and the low battery cutoff works at around 3v.

Nope, just drop in the original battery.

Inb4 Zatrix says.....

//Cloupor Mini 30W has widely known issue of melting circuit boards. My Cloupor means garbage last 2 months, then became extremaly hot, and melted circuit board. Fasttech offering replacement , and no full money back. there is no answer from Cloupor Company. Never buy anything from these chinese companies. Both are garbage!//

Try plugging it in first (I used a cell charger), then pop the battery in/out a few times while leaving the cord in. Wait till the low battery message gives away to the status screen each time. I had to do it a few times.

Update ...

Well one of mine is working, but a second no go

Guess I'll go the ticket route.
