On my first, it works. On my latest, the battery level doesn't show discharge till removing the battery, but around 3.5v with Atlantis quite obvious the battery is drained by weak vapor production.

Charging to full also does not show the "charged" screen when using USB, but charges to 4.2 with no issues.

Using an external charger would be a better bet for those concerned.

Seems some of these may be "reworked" a bit with excess internal glue, scratches, and such.

Minor annoyances, but not nearly as aggravating as the Vamo "too hot" message.

No overheating or passive battery drain on mine yet.
Peace be with you ...

Thanks for all your input guys, it's helped make my mind up.

It seems that the latest batch are very hit and miss. Granted the battery level indicator isn't THAT much of an issue compared to the other potential problems, but there is no 'low battery' excessive drain cut off, therefore no protection - and that is shite!

So off it goes in the post to Hong Kong, accompanied by a strongly worded message to fasttech - in the mean time I've got a temp control board on its way to me, so if the replacement mini is the same it'll be getting stripped

Got one today (shipped April 25) and so far the battery indicator appears to be working properly.

They're idiots. I hate to keep rubbing this in, but mine works flawlessly, and is quite possibly my favourite all 'round regulated device - certainly my most used until I got the YiHi. However, if their QC or what I presume is live beta testing, is so iffy that they can't offer consistency, who cares what 99% of them are like if there's a chance for you to be lucky winner of one of the duff ones? I'm sorry, but they've had their chance, and now need to get out of the mod business, and go back to making toaster ovens, or whatever it was they were making prior to their foray into the ecig market.

They're just another company rushing stuff to market before the ecig bubble bursts. They should change their name to 'Clamour', it would better reflect their business model.

Fire extinguishers. One hand scratches the other.
