Thanks guys, seems a bit hit and miss at the moment then.

And...

My sentiments exactly snorkelwhacker!

"Fair chance"

What... 1 in 10? 1 in 50, or more like 1 in 100,000+?

I have a "fair chance" of winning the lottery, the odds are only 14,000,000 to 1

Are you kidding? How shall I know the exact statistical value? There are hundreds of reports all over the net that this thing just starts to burn. Like mine did, I ordered two pieces, so it's 50 percent lol.

So you would buy this even when we tell you that there is a 1:100000 chance that you burn your house, right? But at least you know how full your battery is, that's most important.

Can anyone with a VIP card verify the numbers are also in the security code on the box? Just checking to make sure it is authentic.

Metal can't burn, if you don't open the case, nothing happens to the house. So your house can't burning down.

I've bought the silver one with VIP Card and serial number 182953. If the black one have also 180000 and more, there are about 360000, which are selled.

There are about 10 or 20 Users, which are known, that the chip is melting.

These are 0,0055 percent.

Think about the risk.

Buying a car is more dangerous.

Correction; there are hundreds of people talking about a few cases where there has been an issue. I'm not defending cloupor per se, as one mod melting is too many, and we all know that they will do what they always do - nothing. However, blowing it up into a global epidemic of incendiary mods doesn't reflect the actual situation.

for me the battery level meter is not so vital, IF the mod cuts off for low battery at an appropriate time.Annoying to have no gauge but not of paramount worlds falling importance

However, if the device does not have an appropriate low voltage cutoff because of this fault, the device is utterly useless, potentially dangerous and certainly a battery killer

edit: i'll be receiving a mini in the next few days, we shall see

received my black cloupor mini a few days ago. Used it for a day and the battery indicator barely dropped. I reinserted the battery and now it shows the battery level at 25% remaining. ticket open.

Goner. seems like bad batches r allowed to be sold at lower price purposely without the Vip card = no warranty as confirmed by Cloupor.

All so messed up.

Should just recall n discontinue the freaking product to lessen users agony.

Within the compact size under $40 price range , there r better alternatives in FT with better specs like the Kamry 30W v2.

On my first, it works. On my latest, the battery level doesn't show discharge till removing the battery, but around 3.5v with Atlantis quite obvious the battery is drained by weak vapor production.

Charging to full also does not show the "charged" screen when using USB, but charges to 4.2 with no issues.

Using an external charger would be a better bet for those concerned.

Seems some of these may be "reworked" a bit with excess internal glue, scratches, and such.

Minor annoyances, but not nearly as aggravating as the Vamo "too hot" message.

No overheating or passive battery drain on mine yet.
Peace be with you ...
