Spend $100 on 3 pieces. So worst case is that I throw them happily away. I am sure FT will say that I have to pay the postage for sending it back (because the other 2 are not "defective"). Postage is around $25-30 for me...

Think they reimburse you the shipping for defective items. Or you could try hassling cloupor.
I don't like the spin screw 510 either, but the case is great.
Just need to find a board that will fit into something that small.

Don't worry, they will pay for your postage. It's how you take a picture of a half empty battery with a defective and HOT mod that's the issue.

Edit:
Took care of the pic for you. Just upload this picture in your ticket.

And of course they want me to pay the shipping fees for the other box bombs to send them back.

Sorry to hear that.
Out of curiosity, does your box pass the "15s test"?
They claim that this indicates if the box is fine or not but the fact that yours got hot without the atty (ie supposedly an open circuit) would indicate that this claim is BS.
I want a small 30W device and am debating between this and the iStick.
That's really to bad as the build quality on the cloupor seems to be spot on but whatever is happening is BS, not worth the hassle.
On the other hand, the build quality of the iStick is what seems to be keeping me away. I think that the whole buttons rattling thing would drive me nuts over time.

No. What's unbelievable is that people keep buying Cloupor garbage. Actually it's not that unbelievable. Most of you guys are like magpies.

Get an IPV mini if your after a decent 30w box, I own one and its rock solid, no rattles, fits great in the hand, replaceable battery and good build quality.

This was always on the cards with a cloupor product. I bought mine despite a long standing distrust of anything they sell, and knock on wood, I haven't had the slightest issue with it. Let's hope they sort this out in future versions, because it's my most used device right now.

If they get the YiHi mini in stock, it will probably go in a draw....... Without a battery in.
