Nice Idea, but ...
... because the item is long and a little heavy, is not so easy to hold the Coil with the Tool on the right place! A smaler item for every size(like a drill) works better! Is not so handy ...

I use a drill bit so i can see how being longer it would be even easier to wind coils with this tool.

Personally, I like this style:

http://www.micromark.com/coil-mandrel-set-package-of-8,9559.html

The hole in the hex end can serve as an anchor for the wire. It can also be inserted into a drill, for...idk...really long coils.

For working on a deck with a coil .... No good what's so ever! It will be to heavy IMO.

There may be some situations it might be good I can't think of any off hand but it won't be on a deck of a kayfun or taifun drill bits or rods will be better

Its also very cheap so meh! Who cares if it works as said it does look quite pretty and a little handy!
