Maybe it is harder to weld? Nicrome is cheaper than Kantahl maybe that's it, because this is twice the price.
Personally I get great results with the nicrome on the protank heads and I cannot tell the difference from kanthal in my RDA's. And Nicrome does heat up faster.
Using "regulation" as poorly disguised prohibition is criminal.
Vaping is not smoking, reduces harm and saves lives.

So is that why I cant stand to use the coils from here!? I swore it was the silica I had to use in the ithacas.
Maybe thats why I cant use them do to the ole wires. Yuk! What in the hell is it coated with!?
And WHY CALL IT KANTHAL NICHROME!? 1 or the other ft? Unless they've smelted a batch. Is this just their kanthal options?

sorry, my bad, i think the NR-R-NR (without kanthal) are NOT coated on the R-part... its something else, maybe from torching, when i remember right...
so kanthal NR-r-NR expensive, while kanthal wire cheapaschips (both compared to nichrome).

Look at the kanthal website (their actual site). They DO make/sell nichrome wire. Kanthal could just be the "brand name" in this case...
Woah, mama!

would be cheaper for a Chinese manufacturer to buy NiCr somewhere else.

but as long as this are not those "black coated wires" like before i dont care so much

Well, there was a huge demand for 'Kanthal' with FT customers. FT obviously sourced the least expensive 'Kanthal' they could find!
