Ego threads batt look tiny bit higher then on other batt, could be that, can't think of anything else.
Have istick with adapter on its way maybe mpt3 will be better luck with that.

I only noticed it when putting two batteries together to compare.

It might not be OP's problem, but check that first.

Yep, could very well be! I have thought for a long time that some of the "authentic" stuff on here is actually factory second/rejects. But I still come out ahead most of the time.

If you have ever worked in a machine shop, you know that sometimes when setting up for the first run, you might make a few widgets that are close but not quite "right".

In China and mexico, NOTHING goes to waste ... it all gets sold.

There's no standardization, that's the problem. I think most are cast and then machined so they probably fit 80% of what is out there.

I tried to mix and match some older clearomizers, but it was a mistake, the pieces worked best as they came.

Good plan. If you buy an adapter, for example, it could be made "off" just enough to work with something else that is "off" in the other direction. No two alike :)

In China, there is no such thing as interchangeable parts.

Many years ago, you could walk in a shoe store and buy your size, don't even try them on, and by god they fit. These days, a size 12 could be smaller than a size 10.

Maybe take a file to the top of the thing ... the part without threads and looks sort of like a castle or rook chess piece?
