I refill from the bottom. The the max I can put into it is barely 1/2 of the tank. I tried to twist off the top, but the whole tube assembly came apart. Is there a better way that I am not aware of?

Refill from the bottom. The tank looks half full when actually filled... seems the coil and bottom of the tank hold fluid still even after the tank looks empty. I turn it upside down from time to time to check the fluid levels. Don't unscrew from the drip tip...I've actually cracked the glass doing this. The only thing you need to really ever unscrew is the bottom when replacing the coil or refilling the tank. Don't fill the tank to the point the chamber fills with fluid either. Hope this helps.

Yes it does help. Now I can be sure that I am not missing something or at least, not alone.

Fill up the bottom and everything will be fine, if it seems that it is half full, then in fact it is completely filled.
