Can you dry burn these after rebuilding own coils?..
I've heard that if you rebuild these coils you cant dry burn them or it melts the grommit thing - if thats right how do you clean the coils?..

You can dry burn them in short pulses as long as you did not use a cotton wick,with a silica wick it's fine.

I'd be very careful not to burn the thin plastic insulator if you are to dry burn... I never dry burn when re-building these BDC coils, I torch the coil with a butane-torch before inserting into the head.

Ah k, thanks. So when you've built a new coil ChummyBoy how do you clean it when it gets gunked up?..

If you rebuild them make the legs double twisted that way you can dry burn coil/wick and
It stops the insulator getting burnt.
Who you tryin' to get crazy with ese? Don't you know I'm loco?

Ah niceone.
Its dual coil, will it work if you twist both positives and both negatives together, or do you need to twist another bit onto the legs of all 4 wires in a dual coil?..

Oh am not sure about double coils sorry
but I have done them on single coils on the protank/unitank etc
It stops the legs getting too hot, Give it shot and see if it will work ;)

Sounds like a good idea. I've not got one yet tho, not too sure if i want to get one if it cant be dry burnt. They should make a proper rebuildable version of the protank3 heads, with no rubber/silicon anywhere where it can get burnt. Or a smaller (1.5-2ml) kayfun clone.
