As an extension in the K100 / K100-101 Mod...?
Anyone know If, and/or, how many of these it takes stacked-up to allow a regular tank, RBA, RDA to be used on a K100 and still be able to have the drip shield in place ?

Im getting a K100 and like the look of it with the drip shield in place, but I want to use my regular iClear30 on it also. since the drip shield on the K100 will not "thread down" enough to allow a regular 510 tank to attach I was thinking I could put some of these on "stacked" (they would essentially take the place of the carto), put the drip shield back on, and then use my regular iclear30...

by the looks of it you'd need 4 maybe 5. I haven't got an iclear so i cant confirm that it will work after you have all of those adapters stacked up but I don't see why not

Cool, sounds good. Thanks CAD. Probably order 6-7 of them then. It never hurts to have a few x-tras in the parts box.

I'm sooo confused. I have a K100 and have tried to envision what the two of you are talking about. You cant put 510 tanks on your K100? I'm certain this is just a case of my not picturing this right. Please, so I can sleep at night, elaborate a little.

Thanks yo

The correct nswer is 4. It takes 4 of the adapters to get out of the drip shield.

@ Pat ....Ok try to picture it like this...Have you ever used it in a "stock" fashion? that is , to say, with an un-punched carto under the drip shield? (I only ask as some places only sell them w/o). OK, now imagine that you bought a shit load of good cartos for cheap, but when you get them, and put one on your K100 and then screw down the drip shield, you find that the new carto's are about a Centimeter short of reaching the top of the drip shield.... You would be able to buy one of these, screw it into the 510 on your K100, then screw the carto onto the adapter, essentially making it longer and therefore able to then reach to the end of the drip shield.... Can you see it ? Ok now... just take the carto out of the picture and imagine just screwing 4 of these together, putting them on your K100 in place of the carto, and screwing the drip shield over them.... essentially, the K100's 510 connector would then reach all the way to the end of the drip shield and you would be able to use an RBA like SKU: 1570800 with the drip shield in place.

There's a real risk of shorts doing such a bad DIY x_o

You'd better google 510 to 510 adapter / extender 47 mm long

@ GHomer... Aye, they should fit inside the drip-shield.... given the description/ measurements are accurate. The shield is 11-12mm id, the adapter is (as listed) 9.1mm wide . I know several guys that have used them in the fashion above to extend a short carto so it reaches the end of the drip shield. Though I will admit that I have no idea weather these adapters are exactly the same dimensions as theirs.
