Hey man, I had a similar problem. The drip tip unscrewed but the top cap bit was basically welded onto the plastic tank. It was impossible to unscrew it so I was unable to fill the tank up making it unusable. I'd recommend opening a ticket to customer service. Note: you'll need to supply pictures of the tank. Initially I was asked to post the tank back to FT so they could look into it for me but seeing as postage costs are rather high in the UK they offered me a free replacement with my next order.

Hope this helps =]

P.S you could try using a rubber kitchen glove for better grip but it didn't work for me.

I had the same problem with mine. I gripped the body as hard as I could and used a pair of pliers to get the top off. Why they have to put it on so tight I will never know. But it does come off

Why are you so worried about the drip tip when you have to unscrew the whole top to fill it. You can still fill the tank without taking the drip tip off.

Yeah I understand, I hate those drip tips that come on the iclears. Has a metal taste to me no matter how much and long I clean them. Even cut some drip tips to fit on the iclear 30, hack saw did wonders. I hope you get it loose, the only one I have used came off easily, haven't tried the others, (the ones from here). I will definitely not keep them if I can't get the drip tips off.
