Poldiac and Chi You
I have an authentic Poldiac and clone Chi You and wanted a kick for them. Will this one be ok to use for both? The Poldiac came with an extra tube longer than an 18650 battery so I'm assuming it's for a kick. The chi you didn't so do I need to buy an extender for the chi?

I don't own the Chi You or the Poldiac , but would assume the extra tube you have is for a kick. I used these kicks a couple of years ago and they work well with an 18500 battery in an 18650 mod or 18350 in an 18500 configuration. so an 18350 + kick= 18500 and 18500 + Kick =18650
Hope this helps and not to confusing.
Oh and you can only build down to Around 1.3 to 1.4 ohms off the top of my head. they are very reliable I've got around six i kept buying them thinking they would be good as spares, but not one has failed.

+1 details
The only snag with running a Kick in a top-button mod is that the Kick is permanently 'live' and draws a little current, slowly draining your battery. You might also hear the 'heartbeat' clicks after the Kick goes to sleep. I have used Kicks in top-button mods though, and they work OK.

As for the Chi, you can just run an 18490/18500 to make room for the kick, but obviously you'll get less run time out of the battery.

Other thoughts ... Is 12 watts going to be enough for what you are putting on top? Also, Kicks are very fragile, put them in the wrong way round and they die instantly; Don't Ask me how I know this ;) Seven bucks though, so no big deal. Oh, and you'll need decent batteries, IMR or a modern hybrid as they 'spike' the battery pretty hard.

Sorry didn't realise the Poldiac was a top fire button mod. Sossij is spot on.
