there are youtube-vids on how to rebuilt those kanger coils...

im not sure, what you could do with the wire, to make it not tasting burnt...
i think some flame them or so...
you just could take them out, do something with the wire and set them in again...

perhaps someone has an idea..

If you read my review, you'll see I had the same issue with these. Even on a VV/VW mod, I couldn't lower the voltage or wattage enough to kill the burnt taste. After fixing the shorts and hot spots, I tried soaking/washing them in alcohol and distilled water. Yes, I also tried dry burns.

No luck. Still tasted burnt with all my juices.

Ended up rebuilding them with my own silica wick and kanthal ribbon wire to 2.3 ohm. Now they work and taste great.

My advice...buy the 2.2ohm and 2.4 ohm versions of the coil heads they sell here, not the 1.8 ohm. Something is just wrong with these.

Thanks for your reply

yeah I did read your review, have no idea how to go about rebuilding etc, maybe ill have to learn it anyway if these EU regulations come in....

you may be right, last set of coils i got where the 1.8 evod ones, and they leaked and tasted like sh*t too, think im just going to avoid buying hardware from here from now on..... bought a set of evod batteries, only half of them worked, and the protank clones i bought seem to be so poorly constructed the thread came off the bottom in my battery and is stuck there now too!, plus my support tickets have been sitting there for days with no response. think im basically done with this site and will just pay the extra for a reputable supplier!

I've actually had good luck with the items I've ordered from here.

$550 over 12 orders. These coil heads are the only complete fails that I've received from FT. Based on how much I saved over buying my items local retail, I can't complain much.

Plus I learned how to re-build coil heads in the process.

Coil rebuild:

Youtube has a boatload of versions you can watch. It really is fairly easy. By the time I did my third one, I felt like a pro.
