Some yes, some no, just depends on your EVOD sample that day.

I'm helping a friend put together a starter kit and I just shoved one of these in an evod clone from here. The tank sits fine on all my stock ego and 14500 ego-type batteries, but on an SVD it doesn't screw all the way down flush but leaves a 1mm gap (works though).

There are at least two main evod types here that I've come across: the difference is between a wider and narrower centre air tube ("chimney") diameter and the "authentic" Kanger coils won't fit inside the narrower type.

Unfortunately one can't usually tell from the evod "money shots" here which ones are which, although looking at the included coil's centre post might give some indication.

peter21457 above got probably lucky, since in my experience and having just looked at too many pictures of FT's jungle of evods, most here would seem to be of the narrower air tube/centre post type.

The matt orange (SKU 1369400) and white (SKU 1369402) ones I've had fairly good experience with though (e.g. not way too airy like some!) and those are of the wider type.

Just a couple of days ago I wanted Fasttech to do something about this incompatibility mess...

Yes, thanks that clears it up a bit. I bought the 5 pack with green, red, black, silver and blue, and they all work with the kanger heads. Haven't tried the single units yet. I'm over these knock off evods anyway, moving over to the aspire heads and tanks, will see how that turns out. So far nothing beats my drippers, and kayfun!

The Aspire DBC is getting good reviews, the main downside being the coils that are essentially non-rebuildable and relatively pricey. Still a worthy alternative to evods and protanks no doubt.

If only FT would clean up their catalog and just pick a couple of quality selections from proven manufacturers _and_ Genuinely Authentic Evod[tm] ones too for good measure.

The evods and protanks with (ideally) interchangeable and easily rebuilable coils still have plenty going for them.
