Using the lock for the button
Either FastTech is shipping different versions of the aluminum one out or some of the reviews are a lie. I have been reading them and I noticed that some say it has a locking ring for the bottom button. But yet mine does not lock. It is a solid piece with a button in it. I am not starting this thread to pick a fight. I would just like to know what is going on. I would have liked to have the option to lock mine.

It may be froze in place (particles in threads) not allowing you to screw out the locking ring. Did you try to using a pair of channel locks and a cloth to protect the metal. It may just need a little coaxing. Then clean and lightly oil threads

Just an Idea I don't own this particular one ( it might not even lock) but have had locking rings seize on me when crude gets in the threads.

TY HH ;)

By the way is the YouTube video embedded on my post ?

I cant seem to see it and I am doing it as I always do. Why I posted straight text link to video wasn't sure could see it

Also cant get the link button to work in Firefox or IE10. I cleared cache and uninstalled and reinstalled still have same issue (cant see embedded videos)

Just tell me if my video embedded ( if you can see it or not) and I'll go it from there. I might have change a setting I shouldn't have

Hmm that's just weird it only happened recently . I figured maybe a Firefox update or flash player update caused this ( and it probably has)

I did see a help post on this(not seeing embedded videos) saying to downgrade flash player I just did and still having problems.

I'll find a fix and post it if it works ;)

Ty HH for your help ;)

This one does not have the copper colored ring. I just got mine...it's completely two tone. Does it lock? How?
