@Oasis

"My electrical dept. stopped using alum wire many moons ago, we would install new aluminum cable and a year later it would be loose or come out its sleeve. Aluminum hates air"

Aluminum heats and cools expanding and contracting (for example much more than brass) causing it to loosen. You have to go around and tighten connections. In the 1970's in the USA they used aluminum wire in new homes (after a few years the practice was stopped). About twice a year you would have to go around and tighten all the connections in the boxes as well as the breaker box (even with no oxidation). I have seen breaker boxes with nearly every contact so loose you could turn them with fingers!

High point for vapors is it conducts well and the expanding and contracting won't bother us as we work the threads daily. Will oxidation be a problem when the metals will be worked daily (screwed unscrewed)?

Good suggestion Pablo!Air flow controllers would work great to preserve threads & they match a mods circumference approximately...@ Oasis,Ive found the $1 heatsink compound they sell here works well as a cheap alternative to Noalox.

Would be nice if those short 510-adapters would become available here, then - because I didn't know they even existet until I just read about them.

I think if the threads get that bad i`ll just drill out original connector and use a 510 battery connector in brass or ss they just push fit the hole, might need a bit of tweaking but it`ll be job done :)

No need to shout, @frankthetank, and all I find is suppliers who'd charge me more for postage than for the adapter - if they ship to Europe at all.

So, it would still be nice if fasttech carried them.

@Alex wasnt shouting,sometimes forget to unlock caps after the first letter & my answer was directed @gadabout since he asked,same for air controller, google it,its basically an adapter with a wider circumference to accommodate tanks.I dont know why European Vendors would not sell these adapters,maybe someone who lives there will chime-in.@Amiga thats kinda what I did with my s.steel Vamos threads,that regardless of being S.S they still partially stripped & the 510 connectors seal wore out in a bit less than 6-months of heavy use...Rather than solder the pos wire back to the original tiny pos pin,I just pulled it right out,Soldered the pos wire to the middle of a 510 to ego adapter + blocked the bottom hole at the same time with a solder plug so it wont leak inside & then applied a semi hard putty to the partially stripped threads & screwed down the new 510-ego adapter & Voila,New threads & Pos post seal issues fixed with one part & Soldering Skills.
