Need help. Getting too hot
Currently using a 30 gauge on it and it's getting hot. I've put the coils down to 3 wrap each frm 4 and still gets hot. Do i need a lower or higher gauge? And do i need more wraps? Thanks in advance!

Are you using non resistance wires for the legs? If not this will be the cause of your problems.

sounds to me like you need an ohm meter to see what the resistance is, 2 coils of 3 wraps makes a low ohm setup. example; if you want a 2 ohm setup using 2 coils then you'll need 2 coils of 4 ohms each, or if want a 1 ohm setup using 2 coils then you need to make 2 coils of 2 ohms each. is very easy to short it out using 2 coils if you set them cross wise, you need to add a string of silica between them. personally I use a single coil and a wick on top of it cross wise for a nice and saturated flavor.

So if you don't have an ohm meter I suggest you get one, it's a must have !
