i think the svd only accepts batts up to 2600 mah unprotected
mine wont do 4000mah but will 2600mah unprtected samsung icr 18650 the pink ones of here they work fine
it also takes 2400 protected ultrafire but there crap and dont last very long

The batt. I use are 3000mah unprotected and work great in my SVD and Vamo V3.

Did you get the new batteries? If so let me know if they worked because I have the ultra fire batteries and the same is happening to me:((((( it just shuts itself off and I'm worried it's a mod problem :(!!!! Thanks!
