Am I supposed to take this off before using?

That silicone piece seals your tank's airflow tube to the top of the coil head. Without the silicone, as Sonnen.. said, your tank will leak juice up into the airflow.

Would anyone know where to get these replacements? And what are the called? Lastly can I use a silicone o ring instead?
Sorry I've just spent the last hour trying to find something to replace one of mine as it now is starting to leak with the thinner liquids.
