wick length?
Which wick is recommended? I like a medium draw, with slightly cooler vape. TIA

Id get this one since you can always trim it a bit shorter if inclined.

Thanks Frank- I tried the evod wick in my PT tank I got immediate flooding- possible user error, but I haven't used another. In fact, my three PT are sitting in a plastic bag right now.

I had trouble with flooding-I take out one flavor wick... I am considering trying to rewick with cotton, but I'm new enough to put it off.

I did read that maybe I wasn't tightening the post enough, so I'll try again.

Should be a joke thread- I screwed up the terminology. I meant the post. The wick is inside the coil and 2 additional "flavor wicks" lie on top.

Removing the flavor wick may be causing your leaking or flooding. I rewick mine with cotton thread. I use about 16 lengths doubled over so 32 stands and mine don't flood or leak. I would advise 2mm silica with 1mm flavor thread if that helps? Flooding could also be that you need to tighten the head a little it can become loose when you open the PT Tank to fill.

I thought maybe you meant that Kathy, so I was just joking along to about the wick :)

I agree with Yves too about the flooding, especially if you are using higher PG based juices. Wicks only really "Maybe" need removed on thicker VG based juices like 50VG or higher. And then only if you have dry hits, after testing with all wicks in

Cotton thread as in yarn or candle wicking? I don't understand the transition to silica- did you mean to give alternative method?

Yeah, I'm wondering the problem is not tightening the head.

I've seen re-wick methods that involve using cotton from a q-tip... feedback?

Thanks.

I prefer cotton rounds (Make-up), or cotton yarn if I don't have rounds. Just make sure it's 100% whatever you choose! And be sure you let it soak for a good 2 hours or more before you fire it up!

Try a few types until you find what you like, some prefer balls, others like Q-tips or braided rope (Candle wicking or butchers twine/rope)

Here's a good long thread about cotton, with feedback from users about all types, but mainly rounds

I typically use 50/50 (now) but was using a 40/60VG mix. It was weird, all good for a few weeks until it wasn't. I'm back to cartotanks and dripping. I was interested in this cleareos as a means to travel with my e-go.

I use 50/50 too, and sometimes if using stock wicks I need to leave all (2-3) of the flavor wicks in or it leaks or gurgles.
