Forgot that one afrhino good catch ;)

The manual is wrong most defiantly as afrhino has pointed out (nipple side first)

Also you haven't stated if batteries are protected or unprotected.

The SVD does not like protected batteries as it has its own built in protection

Use unprotected in the SVD

Well, I've to tell that I use protected Efest 18650 3400mah with no problems. Work awesome in my SVD and Vamo.

Very few will but most don't I've tried So have others. The protection in most batteries work against protection circuit in the SVD.

if it gets a short in 510 you will have red light on fire button and wont go out till you remove battery .

I imagine that the current protection will kick in on lower rated protected batteries. As long as a protected battery delivers the right voltage and current it should work. Some of the PCB's for single 18650's are only rated at 2amp max.

svd = aw imr and you are ok... agree with Viking also for unprotected ft svd rocks.i have this two months .
