What is this thing used for?
Warning, Female and Tool Challenged.

Ok so now you understand that much how does this relate to Vaping?
Everytime I open up my page I see this thing.

I have seen a few reviews that say its great for coil building?
What am I missing?
I am not a long term great expert rebuildable coil expert but i havent ever thought of needing a torch so whats the purpose of it?

I only ask because I have seen so many great reviews about it. Just not sure why?

TIA

EDIT:

I keep looking at this and all I can think of is "rock"
is this why people are buying this and its not for coils?

You use it to anneal your coils. You can use it on wire before you build to soften it, but most just heat and press the coil with tweezers once they've wound it.

I had one of these, and it was really good right up until it suddenly started leaking. Luckily it wasn't in use at the time, and I don't recall doing anything likely to damage it.

If you want a really good small torch, search the Web for the blazer PB207 lighter. I've had one for at least ten years, and it now lives in my tool kit. They're a but spendy, but they're the original jet lighter, and built to last.

Ahhh ok.....I just heat and press the coils with tweezers/ceramic ends after firing up the coil on the mod for a second.

Ok, thanks for that then I guess i dont need one.
Been wondering about this one for weeks. Now I know I no longer need to give it any thought. Thx

I have one of these I use for my coils. I think I paid $3 on fleabay a couple years ago. Way better than the Bernzomatic I paid $18 for a Walmart that doesn't have a piezo igniter. It holds a decent amount of butane and has good flame control on a torch and flame setting. With a little practice they work well shrinking battery wraps as well.

Those are loose copies of the PB207. They work, and they're cheap.

Meth heads prefer something with a bigger tank. Still, if you got pulled over and the cops checked your gear and found one you'd probably be getting the rubber glove. I leave mine at home.
