I would love to agree with the OP, but then we'd both be wrong....

My 11 year old always knew best, until a trip to accident and emergency after riding his bike with no brakes yet again proved him wrong. I fear this scenario will only head in the same direction.

One thing I do know - when it does go wrong there won't be a peep from the idiot - deserves all he gets imo, just don't, I REPEAT DON'T, follow any of his advice. This is most definitely a case of 'I can shout loudest so I must be right'

I'd rather be an armchair scientist and be able to choose which hand to hold my toilet paper in any day.

When going under the amp limit, batteries are only considered mistreated if they heat.
Overheating is the only indicator of battery stress when going under the amp limit.
Prove me wrong.

You keep saying prove me wrong but you've been proven wrong, have you read and understood the detailed report the link is in a previous post its by a battery expert, or will you argue his findings are wrong even though he has specialist equipment for testing batteries and you are going off heat and nothing else

read back what you wrote. you were NOT going UNDER the amp limit with what YOU were doing with the battery.

so this under the amp limit/heat you keep refering too does not apply to this thread.

stop trying to bail yourself out of a hole you have dug yourself into.

Yet that's exactly what I was trying to say in the first place. My microcoils read 0.8Ω on both my ohm meter and my eVic, and I use them daily with 2 mechs. The batteries never overheat, and last around 5 hours before I decide to recharge them.
I don't give a shit about that test some torchlight fetishist posted (wtf are you guys doing with your torchlights?) since I'm speaking from first hand experience with a 0.8Ω coil and these batteries.
And if I understand this correctly, he's saying an IMR18350 at 1A won't last more than an hour? Complete bullshit.

Not a single one of you actually proved me that if this battery doesn't heat under these conditions, it's still under stress and may explode or leak.

And as a general rule, not a single one of you proved me wrong when I say no heat = no worries

And btw,

read back what you wrote. you were NOT going UNDER the amp limit with what YOU were doing with the battery.

Then why is a 0.8Ω coil considered unsafe if the battery isn't under the amp limit?

Oh boy.

It would be considered unsafe with these batteries because youll be drawing 5.25A from the batteries which are rated 3.5A... you dont give shit from the other reviews you said, then why are you on the forums? Most reviews are posted on forums. I trust them torch enthusiasts better when it comes to batteries (no offense to the vapers here).
