Never argue with a stupid person, they'll drag you down to there level then beat you with experience.

Overloading a lithium battery causes the internal structure to degrade until eventually it causes an internal short circuit, this is what causes an explosion, not heat.

*citation needed*

No heat, no degradation... Again, common sense.

This is some of the worst advice I've ever seen.
People, please do not listen to this guy. Do not sub ohm with these batteries! There is no reason to take this kind of risk.

Yes, these batteries can subohm quite fine, until the path between the negative and positive pieces of lithium degrades so much that it short circuits and (worst case) combusts or (best case) vents poisonous gas in your face.

OMG they've all been brainwashed. I'm like in a zombie movie. Crazy stuff.
You all talk about ohm's law knowing jack shit about how it really affect lithium batteries and if they really take any damage when you go a bit below the amp limit. How do I know? Because there is only ONE case of an exploding 18650 battery in a flashlight, and this battery hasn't been used for a year and was poor quality in the first place. This is what I call exceptional considering the millions of batteries sold.

Now look up "Lithium-ion Battery Life and Death". Do it, idiot.
It's about the HEAT, not about components magically moving inside the battery because you sub ohm.

Keep spreading FUD, I'll keep vaping sub ohm on my mini with a battery I know for a fact doesn't overheat at 0.8Ω

Do what you will Paf, just keep it to yourself. Unless, of course, your goal is to be the biggest ignoramus on the forum. If that's the case, WELL DONE!
