Just got the Kraken and it has an internal short, anyone else?
Just got my Kraken from FT and found out that there is continuity between the positive and negative with no wick or coil installed. Fully disassembled and cleaned and cannot see why there will be a short. Cannot see inside the center post but that is where the short must be.

Aside the short this looks like a beautiful RBA, machining, finish, glass and 510 threads are all perfect. Would believe this was the real or original thing. Would love to try it but cannot see or work out the short. This is a simple RBA.

Anyone else with a short in their Kraken???

is it shorting with the top cap off? or on? i have heard cases where a drip tip bottom is too long and touches the center pin, causing a short.

HoracePinker, how did you get the bottom positive 510 pin out or off?

Yes the insulators are in place and it is easy to test for a short. Check for continuity between positive and negative before attaching a coil. Do not use if there is a short!

HoracePinker I am sure I can diagnose and fix it once I get the pin out. I tried prying it out and that did not work. Is the pin pushed in or? How to take the pin out without damaging the 510 connection?

Thanks in advance!
