@ look30 hi, ok im going to have a go from memory lol.. the i2 has a charge current set at 0.5a ? . the vp1 has selectable charge currents of 0.25 0.5 and 1.0 amp. so you can charge many more different li-ion batteries SAFELY than the i2. the 1 amp setting i use a lot on my hybrid or imr 18650 cells. the 0.25 is handy for small stuff like 10440 or low mah rcr123 etc. the vp1 has a digital display too. also on a more technical side i think the vp1 uses a slightly better charging algorithm than the i2.

the i2 can charge nimh/nicad as well..the vp1 cannot.

but indeed the i2 works fine :)

and just my personal opinion.. but ive seen a lot less posts of the VP1 getting hot/failing etc as compared to the nitecore charger. but thats just my opinion.

It displays the set charging current (0.25, 0.5 and 1 A) but does not show cell capacity, only charge progress. Two voltmeters show the voltage for each bay.
