beginner mechanical mod
I never use a mechanical change: is it better to put a kick with unprotected 18350 or 18500 or use a protected battery battery?

1 - without the kick vap will not regulated is not it, but more intense, with protected battery required ?

2 - with kick, I can put not protected, but not 18650, there must be 18500 or 18350 ?

thank you to enlighten my neurons beginner!

Hello

"kick" = Kick by evol (~60$) = K by Sigelei (~30$)
Not the same chipset but really nearly the same ^^

With NO kick + unprotected battery :
- your battery delivers only what it had in : from 4.2Volts... till YOU STOP !(at 2.5Volts most of batteries will die, but it's really hard to vape under 3Volts, you'll feel it ;)

With NO kick + protected battery :
- battery stops at 3.2, that's the protection ;)

With kick : no need for protected batteries : kick will stop at 3.2Volts, it's part of his job

Generaly you can use "kick" with 18500 or 18350 in mechanicals mods, I don't know a mech that use kick+18650

* K100's problem : Maximum Supported Battery (+kick) Length : 68mm

*********************

For a beginner and for the price , better look for a vamo V2 (~30$ post paid) : works great, easy to use : great stuff :)

Gooooooooooood vapes !

Panasonic won't fit : dimension = Height 69.4mm (k100 max.: 68mm)

Personnaly, I vape my Boge cartomizers LR (~1.8Ohms) and igo-L LR (~1.5Ohms) on a sentinel V3 mod with Efest 18650 V2 and no kick : cool vape ^^ and generaly I stop vaping around 3.5Volt (I feel it :)

And if I go HR I use my vamo V2 :)

Hello,

K by sigelei : dimension/height : 17.2mm (i've just find it ;)

Sanyo + kick = 49.3+17.2 : 66.5mm :/

(k100 accept batteries under 65mm)

> It seems you'll have to kick with 18350 -_-

> Look at description and calculate with other batteries :)

Good luck

PS : I'm still looking for answers for you, I've post the question to a guy who got a K100 and a K to be sure... Next time, I may offer you a full response ;)

Hello,
You can use "18490 AW IMR + kick" (tested and approved) but it seems it's near the maximum

Hope it'll help you,

I stop here :) K100 is no more on my wish list ^^

@++ and good vape =P

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

PS : I just realise I've made an error :

Sanyo + kick = 49.3+17.2 : 66.5mm :/
(k100 accept batteries under 65mm)

It's not 65mm for this model but 68mm ^^
> so Sanyo+kick (66.5mm) will fit !!! \o/
Sorry for the wrong maths but this is good news for you ^^

I agree this would be a good, not great, beginner Mech MOD. The only reason I say good and not great is because unlike the original, this one has a fixed 510 on top.... So not all Atty's will sit flush, and those with non adjustable, shallow positive pins will not work. It's my opinion that if this were changed to a floating pin, it would be the best for the price MOD out there. For new users, check out my comment of this under "Kick". I highly recommend new users to get a kick or at least a 2cent fuse till you got some experience under your belt. The advantage of a kick beyond the ability to increase voltage is the protection included.... in non kicked devices I will only use IMR batteries, with a kick though, I will use any battery (those I would normally use in a VV/VW device). However, if you don't have your kick "dialed it" already.... it would be a pain in the a** to adjust in this device as you would have to constantly install and remove till your happy.
